A little of Central Florida's well-known sunshine shone on the greens yesterday at the 2012 Master's Tournament in Augusta. Zach Johnson, of Heathrow Country Club in Seminole County, currently holds 10th place in the leaderboards as the tournament moves into its second day of play.
His fellow Floridian native Bubba Watson, from Milton, is currently ahead of him and holding fast at 6th place. Both are continuing the solid play they exhibited at the Arnold Palmer Invitational held at Bay Hill in Orlando last week, where Watson tied for 4th and Johnson tied for 11th.
The champion of Bay Hill and former Isleworth resident, Tiger Woods, had a rockier start at the Master's, with back-to-back bogeys on the 17th and 18th. However, he refused to be deterred, stating that he "made some bad swings, but I can take something positive out of this."
