Everything is looking green on the revival of the Stoneybrook South residential golf community.
With their success on the Stoneybrook East and Stoneybrook West properties, Lennar Homes LLC had begun work on Stoneybrook South in 2005. However, with the recession taking hold shortly thereafter and the changes in market conditions, they were forced to put their plans on hold.
Now, with signs of recovery, they are looking to reopen their plans for the development, which includes 900 apartments, 1,010 townhouses/condos, and 1,744 single-family homes located off of U.S. Highway 27 and just north of I-4. They are also looking into donating land for a school and park, as well as restart construction on the golf course.
According to the Orlando Business Journal, sources state that construction on the development could restart “as early as this summer.”
The Stoneybrook communities are well known for being a golfer’s paradise, with homes that literally step out right onto the green. A recent listing of ours for a home in Stoneybrook West did not stay on the market for very long before getting snatched up.
